The McDonald Family

Let me start off by saying, these two people are just amazing! Amanda and I exchanged numerous emails prior to our shoot, and scheduling conflicts kept pushing our date further and further back... but eventually we were able to nail down a time that worked for all of us - and I just loved hanging out with these two and managed to snag some really great images in the process.
A very mean stomach bug has plagued my house for the past three weeks, and I've been home tending to sick children and husband - and I'm sure just finally getting out of the house and get to socialize with other human beings must have been a real treat for me, because I am fairly certain I talked their ears off! But I had an amazing time meeting these two beautiful people, who were married at Lee University just six months prior - and we returned to the same scene for our photo shoot... only this time, they brought along their newest member of the family, Charlie! Charlie is a 9 week old lab/retriever mix - and oh my goodness! He was ADORABLE!!!

So, without further adieu, please enjoy a sneak peek of the McDonald family photo session!!

Introducing Baby Katy!

Baby Katy is just 8 days old, and is already spoiled by family who just loves and adores this baby in so many ways! And after spending a few hours with her, how could you not fall in love with this little bundle of pure love?! This beautiful little girl weighs only 4 pounds, and was just so tiny. I had crocheted a tiny little hat for her photo shoot, and I knew she was little before I met her - but my hat was too big for her tiny little head. Oops!

Even though I am a mother, my children are older now... and I'll be honest, when I saw how little Katy was, I was almost afraid to touch her. After I held her for a short moment, even I was instantly in love with this tiny little girl and I just wanted to cuddle with her and never put her down! She was just perfect... absolutely perfect.

So, without going on and on about how adorable this little doll was, I'll just get to the good stuff and give you a sneak peak into our session...

Awwww.... it's heartbreaking when you get the pouty lip!

Now, isn't this just the cutest blog you've seen yet?!

Crystal & Her VERY Big Photo Session!!!

It takes a very strong, but very patient person to be a mother of four children. Even more patience when you have four god children as well. So when it came time for family portraits, it was without question that all eight kids be involved - and what a TIME we had!!! The day was beautiful, leaves at their peak of fall beautfy, and  the weather was pristine - which meant for children full of energy, it was time to run and play!

But through it all, we managed to get the majority if everyone settled and grab some fantastic images. This is a wonderful little, but very BIG!! family and I am greatful to have had the opportunity to meet these wonderful individuals! But enough about me! Let's get to what we came for - a preview of the days wonderful images! Enjoy!

The Davis Fall Family Portraits

Donna and I have talked about doing a session for what seems like forever, and after a long game of playing phone tag, numerous text messages, and emails... we finally were able to nail down a time and place. I'm so glad we finally got together and were able to get these done. This family is just full of, for lack of a better word, awesomeness.

So, I won't keep you any longer... Enjoy a small peak into the session and see who is making the blog look GREAT today!!!

The Brown Family

Let me just get it out there... I got lost on my way to a photoshoot. I've always feared this would happen... but since most of my sessions have been located in Cleveland, I really don't fret it much. I've lived in Cleveland, Tennessee for 15 years now and I'm pretty familiar with it by now. So, when Becky said she wanted to do her session at Lee University, I feared nothing. When I moved here, Lee was Lee College. It was relatively small on a large campus, very pretty and I quickly got to know my way around the campus. Since then, Lee College has become Lee University and Cleveland has grown by leaps and bounds. Lee has added tons of new buildings and, as I found out VERY quickly, a lot of my old familiar landmarks, either no longer exist or have changed!! So, here I am, driving around Lee's campus and I was lost... I can laugh about it now. I knew I was in the correct general area, but I could not find the one building Becky & I had agreed to meet! Turns out, they had torn down that building and built a whole new one.... So, Becky watched me drive around looking for a building that didn't exist.... Talk about being a bit embarrassed!!!

But, I finally found it, and we set out across Lee University's beautiful campus and we had a blast. Or at least, I hope they had as much fun as I did. So, without further adieu, here are a few images from our beautiful session!!!

This is her "embarrassed" face...
