Crystal & Her VERY Big Photo Session!!!

It takes a very strong, but very patient person to be a mother of four children. Even more patience when you have four god children as well. So when it came time for family portraits, it was without question that all eight kids be involved - and what a TIME we had!!! The day was beautiful, leaves at their peak of fall beautfy, and  the weather was pristine - which meant for children full of energy, it was time to run and play!

But through it all, we managed to get the majority if everyone settled and grab some fantastic images. This is a wonderful little, but very BIG!! family and I am greatful to have had the opportunity to meet these wonderful individuals! But enough about me! Let's get to what we came for - a preview of the days wonderful images! Enjoy!

The Davis Fall Family Portraits

Donna and I have talked about doing a session for what seems like forever, and after a long game of playing phone tag, numerous text messages, and emails... we finally were able to nail down a time and place. I'm so glad we finally got together and were able to get these done. This family is just full of, for lack of a better word, awesomeness.

So, I won't keep you any longer... Enjoy a small peak into the session and see who is making the blog look GREAT today!!!

The Brown Family

Let me just get it out there... I got lost on my way to a photoshoot. I've always feared this would happen... but since most of my sessions have been located in Cleveland, I really don't fret it much. I've lived in Cleveland, Tennessee for 15 years now and I'm pretty familiar with it by now. So, when Becky said she wanted to do her session at Lee University, I feared nothing. When I moved here, Lee was Lee College. It was relatively small on a large campus, very pretty and I quickly got to know my way around the campus. Since then, Lee College has become Lee University and Cleveland has grown by leaps and bounds. Lee has added tons of new buildings and, as I found out VERY quickly, a lot of my old familiar landmarks, either no longer exist or have changed!! So, here I am, driving around Lee's campus and I was lost... I can laugh about it now. I knew I was in the correct general area, but I could not find the one building Becky & I had agreed to meet! Turns out, they had torn down that building and built a whole new one.... So, Becky watched me drive around looking for a building that didn't exist.... Talk about being a bit embarrassed!!!

But, I finally found it, and we set out across Lee University's beautiful campus and we had a blast. Or at least, I hope they had as much fun as I did. So, without further adieu, here are a few images from our beautiful session!!!

This is her "embarrassed" face...

Fall Farm Photo Shoot

When Robin said she wanted family portraits done on her farm, in the fall... I said, "Sign me up!" On over 80 acres of land, including the original house that was built over 5 generations ago, rolling hills, cows, and horses... I knew this was going to be fun. Though I was a little nervous about being trampled by the cows as we used them as a county backdrop... I survived. And the images turned out great! But don't take my word, see for yourself!

Trying this blog...

So, I've decided to try this blog for awhile. We will see how it goes. So, with that said... I decided to grace this blog with all the beauty I had the privledge to capture this past weekend; the engagement of Kacy and Ryan. I met Kacy and Ryan over five years ago, well before they met one another. It was near Halloweeen 4 years ago, as Kacy & I and a few other random people got together one night to sit in an old, supposedly haunted building. I had invited Ryan to join us, and thus started the Ryan and Kacy saga. After almost four years of dating, Ryan finally proposed - and Kacy immediately called me to start brainstorming engagement photos. We decided to split this up into seperate sessions to cover our favorite ideas... So, here are a few shots from our first session...

One of my favorite... Kacy, You are just stunning!

Yes, this train was moving... and the people on it were quite confused and surprised to see us!

Thank you guys for making the first blog look fantastic!!!
